Lessons From Naruto

1. Strength - When you fight to protect someone precious, you become infinite times strong. This is an recurring theme in Naruto. Naruto was so desperate to save Sakura and Sasuke that he went head-on-head with a tailed-beast AND won. Konahamaru was able to create a Rasengan to protect his comrades. The Third Hokage didn't give up during his fight with Orochimaru, despite his old age, because he wanted to protect the village.

2. Stubbornness - It's not over when you fail. It's over when you give up. Neji was hailed a genius while Naruto was called a failure. Gaara was known for his Ultimate Defense while Rock Lee was called a fluke. Yet, Naruto managed to defeat Neji and Rock was the first one to get past Gaara's defenses. How?? Because, the refused to give up. They refused to stay down. They refused to let others judge their worth.

3. Home - Wherever someone thinks of you, you can call that place home. This is one of the most heart-warming dialogues in the entire series.

4. Loneliness - The most terrible feeling in this cruel world is loneliness. It's an endlessly dark tunnel. It has no escape. How horrible Naruto must have felt when everyone alienated him? How hard it must have been for Sasuke to lose his entire family in a single day?  How heart-broken Gaara must have felt to know his own father had sent countless assassins after him? Loneliness is maddening. That's what made Sasuke turn to revenge and forced Gaara into a killing machine.

5. Destiny - Your destiny is what you want it to be.

6. Holding On - Never give up on your friends.

7. Scum

8. Peace - True peace is achieved only when a person tires to understand his enemy's pain. It is achieved when you learn to forgive your enemies instead of wanting revenge.

9. Change - It's never too late to change. You can always learn to accept changes and respect differences. Just like our Tsuchikage.

10. Hardwork Vs Talent - Hardwork trumps talent. Every. Damn. Time.

11. Friends - Make friends who believe in you. Even when you don't.

12. Loss - You never really lose someone. They will always live inside you. As a memory.

13. Revenge - Revenge is never the answer. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

14. Family

15. Hate

16. Love - It doesn't matter which side you fight on. As long as you are fighting to protect someone you love.

17. Behind The Scenes - Everyone needs someone who helps you climb all the way up, and yet, in the end, claps for you from the sideline.

18.  Mother's Love - It can protect you, even from beyond the grave.

19. Food - Good food. Good life.

20. Other Side - There is always two sides to a coin.

21. Chance - Everyone deserves a chance.

22. Independence - Carry your own weight. Never let others do your work for you.

23. Kindness - Kindness is a ripple. A small act of kindness is enough to change someone's entire life.

24. Teamwork - No heroes win all by themselves. They win with the help of their comrades. They achieve victory only when they work together.

25. Laziness - Sometimes, laziness is a good thing.

26. Mourning - It's okay to cry. Sometimes, even heroes cry.

27. Sacrifice - Some sacrifices are necessary for the greater good. In Naruto, the synonym for sacrifice is Itachi Uchiha.

28. Honor - It doesn't matter how long you lived or how you died. It depends on how you lived and whom you died for.

29. Learning - It's never too late to start learning. Even though Sakura is the most dependent character in the entire series, I admire her humbleness where she admits she is always behind others and asks Tsunade for help.

30. Self - Confidence - Only when you believe in yourself, others will begin to bet on you.

31. Bonds - Some bonds truly are unbreakable.

32. Truth - Truth is never a bad thing.

33. Hatred - Hatred leads to more hatred. War leads to more war. Chaos leads to more chaos. Pain leads to more pain. Darkness can't fight darkness. Only light can.

34. Blood - Family need not be always by blood.

35. Unexpected - Things you look for has a way of coming to you when you least expect it. Be it jiraiya who was searching for the Child of Prophecy all his life or Naruto who has yearned to know about his parents... Things they were looking for appeared to them when they stopped looking for it.

36. Appearances Deceive - Do not judge a book by its cover. A seemingly-evil Zabuza had a soft spot for Haku. A seemingly-weak Choji had been the strong one, all along. Do not be haste in judgement. You can never know how a person is on first look.

37. Perspective - There is no good side or bad side. It all depends on where you stand and look.

38. Reasons - No one is mindlessly evil. Everyone has gone through something which made them that way.

39. Friendship

40. Leadership - A great leader is one who considers everyone under him to be is family and does everything in his power to protect them.

41. Dreams - Keep working until your dreams come true.

42. Best Friend - A dog truly is a man's friend.

43. Labels - No one gives anyone the right to label people.

44. Retreat - Not giving up may be noble, but knowing when to retreat is smarter.

45. Identity - When you lose your identity, you lose everything.

46. Empathy - Naruto's greatest power was his ability to empathize. That was his mysterious power. That's why everyone bet on him.

47. Siblings - They'd always be there for you. Even if you don't know it.

48. Memory - The best way to honor the dead is to fight for what they believed in.

49. Pride - Sometimes, you can be filled with pride, even at defeat.

50. Faith - When you have faith in the goodness inside others, they would try to find that goodness in themselves.

All in all, Naruto has thought me what  LIFE  is.
